De La Guerra A Player To Watch In Pawtucket
Chad De La Guerra has had plenty of impressive days in the 2019 season and Sunday was another for the infielder.
De La Guerra, a former Grand Canyon University standout went 4-for-5 with 3 RBIS on the day with his average on the season climbing to .324 with an OPS of .999 in 145 at-bats. De La Guerra has had plenty of pop too with 8 home runs and 26 RBIS and a total of 25 extra base hits with a slugging percentage hovering around .600.
His 4 base hits matches his season high which came on June 20th when he went 4-for-5 against the Durham Bulls with 2 doubles, 1 home run, and 2 RBIS.
Rehabber On My Mind And A Few Lineup Notes

Another player to keep an eye on is the rehabbing Tzu-Wei Lin who was in the PawSox lineup once again making it 5 straight games for the utility star. Lin on Sunday went 1-for-6 with an RBI and stranded 6 runners on base. Lin played shortstop and hit out of the 2-hole behind Gorkys Hernandez.
For those looking on an update on World Series MVP Steve Pearce, there isn’t one. Pearce who is rehabbing back from a low-back strain hasn’t appeared in a game with the PawSox for the past three days. No update for now.
Also of note from Sunday’s game is the absence of outfielder Rusney Castillo who has been out of the lineup for two straight-days for Billy McMillon.
The PawSox will return home on Monday for a three-game set hosting the RailRiders at McCoy Stadium.
After all three games the team will put on a Patriotic themed firework display starting on Monday when they will turn into the Hot Wieners once again with a special Rhode Island themed night planned.
As for the rotation here is how it is shaping up for now: Erasmo Ramirez, Kyle Hart, and Teddy Stankiewicz in that order.
