New England Patriots Defensive Back Eric Rowe Placed On IR, Depth Needing A Lift
The New England Patriots announced today that they have placed DB Eric Rowe on Injured Reserve.
Rowe who is 26-years-old played in four games this season including two starts at the cornerback position in the teams first two games. Rowe was drafted in the fourth round by the Eagles back in the 2015 draft and was acquired by the Patriots in exchange for a 2018 fourth round pick.
Rowe has played in 21 regular season games for the Patriots with 12 starts and registered 49 tackles, one interception, and 11 passes defended. The DB played in 6 postseason games with two starts tallying 24 tackles, one interception, and six passes defended.
With the injury to Rowe the Patriots depth chart at DB has Stephon Gilmore, Jason McCourty, Jonathan Jones, J.C. Jackson, and Keion Crossen.
New England has a few injuries too worry about in addition to Rowe with their Wednesday Injury report listing a number of stars.
